we only had three boats at the Brambles Bank so the 'Daisywheel'had only three petals! It was also the day of the cricket match between Island Sailing Club and Royal Southern Y C so there were hundreds of people arriving in RIBs on the bank with 50 or more boats anchored off.

We were the only yachts to get to the 'shore' so we could walk off the transom ladders to watch the match!  Ron Barnes (Maybe) remained at Osborne Bay with engine problems.

Weather perfect with a gentle breeze allowing us to anchor together and let the scope out until we reached the bank.

Photo of Peter Lowry (Cleo) testing the depth.
