Rules

It has been decided to run an annual competition for members to enable them to show their prowess with the camera and help capture events that publicise the enjoyment of owning a Parker or Seal boat.

 The competition will run each year from 1 January to 30 November.

 CATEGORIES

 There are two categories :

Best picture including a Seal or Parker boat.

 Best Picture of any maritime subject.

 

RULES OF THE COMPETITION

 

a)       Pictures submitted must have been taken by the member, immediate family or partner, of the member, submitting them.

b)       Members can send in up to three pictures for each category.

c)       Digital pictures should be e-mailed directly to the web master.

d)       Digital pictures should not be resized but sent at the resolution of the camera, unless the member is using dial-up*. If this is the case, please do not resize smaller than 800 pixels in the horizontal.

e)       Members who do not own a digital camera can post prints of their pictures to the web master (address in the Membership Handbook), but if they want them returned they should include a stamped addressed envelope.

f)         All pictures will be posted on the web anonymously.

g)       It is recommended that each picture has a short title

h)       Members can send in replacement pictures throughout the year as better ones become available, up to the closing date.

i)         Throughout December, members will be asked to vote via an on-line form, for their choice from each section.

j)         In submitting their pictures members are giving their consent for unlimited use by the SSA*

k)       Trophies, to keep, will be offered to the owners of the pictures in each category that obtain the highest number of votes.

* - the SSA may wish to use the picture in a large format (e.g. SSA publicity).
