COCKPIT TENT - Suitable for Parker 21 posted May 08
1. Frame - It was not intended to have one. It uses for its support, a tie fixing at the boom end and a tie fixing at the backstay(forming the ridge), plus the support from the lifelines, stanchions and pushpit, abeam and astern. 2. It has incorporated in it all the heavy duty elasticated tie material and fixings. 3. Measurements: The Ridge - between the Boom fixing( or the leading edge) and the backstay fixing it is 6 feet long. Ridge to base of port side and ridge to base of starboard side - this measurement is 5 feet 6 inches for each side allowing the tent to lay over the lifelines and be fixed at side deck level. As you look at it flat on the ground you are looking at a shape which incorporates a rectangle 6 feet by 5 feet 6 inches, plus a triangle on the stern end to allow the stern side of the tent to slope down from the backstay fixing point. 4.
